I hold one position with exposure to drones, laser-based C-UAS systems, robotics and cheap counter-drone missiles.
However, this $10B market cap company also has a less flashy business segment that could prove to be much more significant than the low value the market is assigning to it today.
Concretely, this company has space-based orbital laser communication technology, which so far is being used for defense satellite communications, as well as in missions like the most recent Artemis II.
In 2026, safe and fast defense communication is a much larger business than the nascent orbital data center industry. However, on a 10-year timeframe, this company may have a rough diamond in the form of lasers.
